This is a timeline of various political, legal, military, social, economic and environmental events that have occurred in Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Myanmar, Philippines, Laos, Cambodia, Singapore, Malaysia, Timor-Leste, Brunei) that are relevant to libertarian socialism.

1700s

1730: Vietnam is hit with over 30 years of peasant revolts in order to secure land reform.

1900s

1942: The communist Hukbalahaps in the Philippines attempt a communist revolution.
1942: The 'Umbrella War' begins in Cambodia for the release of political prisoners from the Japanese Empire's prisons.
1945: The Saigon Commune briefly rises up and is destroyed.
1963: A buddhist-led movement in South Vietnam overthrows dictator Ngo Dinh Diem.
1970: Columbia Eagle mutiny in Vietnam.
1973: The October 14 Revolt occurs in Thailand, bringing an end to the military dictatorship and beginning of a new progressive democracy.
1973: A peasant rebellion to establish an autonomous zone in Thailand begins.
1975: Thai Muslims campaign successfully for equality before the law.
1983: The Second People Power Revolution occurs in the Philippines, overthrowing a authoritarian dictatorship.
1983: The anti-nuclear movement in the Philippines forces most US military bases and nuclear power plants out the of the country.
1987: The Timorese Independence Movement begins, desiring an end to the military occupation of Timor-Leste by the Indonesian Military.
1987: Environmentalists in Bukindon, Philippines begin a movement which eventually leads to a logging ban and reforestation efforts.
1991: Pak Mun Dam protests begin in Thailand, creating a movement which blocks new dam constructions across Thailand.
1992: People in Thailand successful defend liberal democracy against a military coup.
1996: Citizens in Malaysia fight back against the Multilateral Agreement on Investment.
1998: Students and workers across Indonesia rebel against the New Order regime, toppling it.
1998: The Acechinese Indepedence Movement begins, desiring Acehinese autonomy from Indonesia.
1999: Campaigns in Laos begin for free elections and the release of political prisoners.

2000s

2001: The Second People Power Revolution occurs in the Philippines, overthrowing a corrupt president.
2007: The failed Saffron Revolution occurs across Myanmar in an effort to topple the dictatorship.
2007: Workers at PT Istana take over their workplace.
2007: Citizens around the Irrawady River in Myanmar block the construction of a dam.^[1]
2010: The Red Shirt movement begins in Thailand.
2010: Burmese migrant workers in Thailand strike for better conditions.
2011: Women on Mindanao Island, Philippines enforce village peace through a sex strike.
2012: Cambodian migrant workers in the Phatthana Seafood Factory successfully strike for higher wages and better working conditions.
