This is a timeline of various political, legal, military, social, economic and environmental events that have occurred in Southern Asia (an area including the states of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan) that are relevant to libertarian socialism.

  • 2006: The Phulbari Anti-Mine Movement begins, as environmentalists try to stop the construction of a coal mine that would pollute water sources and farmland as well as displacing thousands of people.[2]
