- 2006: The Oaxaca Revolution occurs, Zaachila becomes an autonomous, democratic town in Mexico.
- 2011: The Cherán Revolution occurs as people revolt against drug cartels and corrupt police in Mexico.
- 2019: The Matamoros Strike breaks out in Northern Mexico.
