- Canada has a well functioning welfare state with universal healthcare, education and social support for the poor.
- Canada has created one of the the most effective systems of multiculturalism in the world.
- Canada is the only state in the world that has legalised marijuana for possession, consumption, cultivation and distribution.
- Canada has stayed out of the Vietnam War and Iraq War.
- Canada ranks highly in terms of gender equality, social progressiveness, workers rights, civil liberties, happiness and quality of infrastructure.
Negatives
- Canada's government treats the indigenous population awfully. Having engaged in invasions, suppression of rebellions, legal discrimination and massive disparities in health and wealth.
- Canada's government has been an enthusiastic participant in British and later US Imperialism, sending soldiers to Sudan, South Africa, China, World War I, Russia, World War II, Korea, Iraq (1990), Somalia, Yugoslavia, Afghanistan and Libya.[1]
- Canada has engaged in massive exploitation of oil reserves which produces a huge amount of pollution.
