Socialist Yugoslavia, officially called the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia refers to the authoritarian socialist period of Yugoslavia's history, from 1945 - 1990. Unique among socialist nations for endorsing a system of partial workers' self-management and market socialism called Titoism, and also a particularly violent ending to its existence in the 1990s.
