- 1909: The first Kibbutz is founded.
2000s
- 2012: The Rojava Revolutions begins.
- 2013: The Gezi Park Uprising occurs across Turkey as people attempt to resist the government's growing authoritarianism and defend city parks and rural forests from destruction for development.
