Decolonisation is the undoing of colonialism.

• 1804: The French Empire decolonises Haiti after a lengthy war.
• 1901: The British Empire decolonises Australia.
• 1910: The British Empire decolonises South Africa.
• 1922: The British Empire decolonises Egypt, but retains a military presence and influence over the country.
• 1946: The USA decolonises the Philippines after US soldiers and Filipino rebels liberate it from the Japanese Empire.
• 1947: The British Empire decolonises India, Pakistan, Nepal and Myanmar.
• 1947: The Italian Empire decolonises Eritrea.
• 1949: The Dutch Empires decolonises Indonesia after a lengthy war.
• 1951: The Italian Empire decolonises Libya.
• 1952: The British Empire removes its soldiers and influence from Egypt following a revolution.
• 1956: The British Empire decolonises Sudan and South Sudan.
• 1956: The French Empire decolonises Tunisia.
• 1960: The British and Italian Empires decolonise Somalia.
