Caliban and the Witch is a 2004 book by Silvia Federici that covers the transition between feudalism and capitalism within Europe, Africa, North America and the Caribbean. Notably, many peasant revolts, the witch hunts, the rise of mechanical philosophy, social reproduction, Christianity, rebellion and the role of women in society.
