List of Anarchist Societies: Difference between revisions

A list of societies which follow libertarian socialist models of governance or economics, past and present. (Note: Forager societies, intentional communities, protest camps, co-operatives, and squats are not included). We have categorised these societies into four kinds:

Libertarian Socialist Societies are societies built with a libertarian socialist ideology in mind, in that they have successfully abolished coercive hierarchies in their communities.
Anti-Authoritarian Societies are societies that have successfully abolished coercive hierarchies in their communities but do not explicitly espouse libertarian socialist politics.
Participatory Societies are societies that have abolished coercive hierarchies for some of the population.
Autonomous Societies are self-governing societies that have libertarian features but fall short of fully participatory decision-making.
