Anand Milk Union Limited or Amul is a worker cooperative consisting of 3.6 million dairy farmers spread across India. Founded in December 1946, it sells chocolate, butter and milk across the world and is the largest worker cooperative and employer on the planet and was responsible for the 'White Revolution' that turned India from a milk importer into one of the largest milk exporters in the world.[1]
